Paulo started his career in the fields of consulting and change management for both Corporates and NGO’s. For over twenty years he has engaged in a variety of initiatives in the Human Capital and Organisation Development fields that took him to more than 30 countries across four continents.
He has worked as an executive in sectors as diverse as Financial Services, Consulting, Technology, Media, Education and Energy, and his work has been mostly focused on M&A integration, organisation & executive development and strategic HR.
As a coach, Paulo has worked with senior executives, social entrepreneurs, creatives and a variety of individuals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. His approach is strongly grounded on the distinctions of somatic, ontological & co-active coaching, as well as internal martial arts and mindfulness.
Paulo is a graduate of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and holds an MBA from INSEAD, where he focused his studies in strategy and organisation, while studying in both the Europe and Asia campuses. He is also a Certified Senior HR Professional through the Society for Human Resources Management. Since 2002, he has graduated from Strozzi, Newfield Group and the Coaches Training Institute professional coaching programmes and is an accredited member of the International Coaching Federation.
Currently Paulo is Chief HR Officer at Galp, a globally integrated energy company, and also a NED/Trustee at Stir Education, an international NGO that supports over 30,000 teachers and one million children in Africa and India.
